Cleaning the house is a daily job. If you are like me, I like to keep things straightened up as much as I can!

Growing up as the oldest of 5, Saturdays were always meant for major cleaning. Were they for you? Each one of us chipped in to make sure the house was clean for all to enjoy.

As I now have a family of my own, I have found these 4 tips to be helpful in my daily schedule. Check them out below.

Mail in one spot:

As you receive your mailed letters, be sure to keep them in one place. When you have time during the week, go through it and sort out the junk mail from the mail you wish to keep. I like to recycle anything that I am going to throw away!

Keep bathrooms tidy:

To ensure that your bathrooms stay fresh and clean, be sure to wipe down the sinks, sweep the floors and clean the toilets.

Don’t leave dirty dishes in the sink:

No one wants to wake up to a sink full of dirty dishes. So, be sure to wash them prior to going to bed. You will feel happy about it in the morning. 🙂

Every night put things back in their place:

It doesn’t take long to put your belongings back in their place. If you take a few moments every night to put toys, clothing, etc. in their proper location, it will make a big difference and help you feel organized.

As Saturday rolls around, you will need to vacuum/sweep every room, clean bathrooms, wash the sheets, dust, wash windows and straighten up closets, refrigerator and cupboards. Cleaning is not my most favorite thing to do, but the end result ALWAYS makes me smile!!!

I sure do hope that this was helpful to you. Send us a tweet to let us know if it was, or if you have any other thoughts! We love hearing from you!
