Today is Father’s Day! This of course entailed a morning in the kitchen for me cooking for my wonderful Hubby while he pretended to sleep in bed because in our house, sleeping in requires a lot of effort, so it is easier to just lie there and pretend so the kids leave you alone. The kids were very excited this morning *cough NOT!*. They were their usual rude, overly hyper, deaf beings that argued all morning while I attempted to let Hubby sleep in. Epic fail! But hey, at least I tried.

After breakfast we spent some wonderful time talking to the traitors whom have left us for 13 days to the wonders of the West. 2 more freaking sleeps!!! WeeMan played goof, BabyGirl did her usual useless banter, I laughed, the Hubby rolled his eyes, and my parents just chuckled at the zoo we are currently residing in. Jerks have the ability to just turn on the webcams and rid the zoo until they are prepared to listen to it again. Only two more sleeps and you guys will be back in ear range of the zoo. SUCKERS!

Our day has been jam packed full of great events. The Hubby has had a lot of relax time. By relax I mean, listen to WeeMan whine that he doesn’t want to jump in the pool, listen to BabyGirl scream in excitement because she is going to jump in the pool, then presist to scream because she got water up her nose after jumping in the pool, then begin the whining of “We are cold, can we go in the hot tub where it’s warm”. Yep. What a day!

Where was I through all this? Gardening!!! Figured I’d give my little garden some lovin and also maintain Cat Woman’s garden that is now sprouting some pretty flowers. This year I got me some roses. Yep! I haven’t killed those bad boys yet, but in due time.

The Hubby has been chilling out on my parents deck, swimming and soaking in the hot tub. I started a little fire so he and WeeMan can roast some marshmellows and burn off some crap that I really don’t want to put in yard waste bags. It’s a win win situation. WeeMan is satisfied roasting some mellows. Hubby gets to sit and play fireman, I get to clean up my yard. Currently I am hiding over in my quiet little house, writing this, while BabyGirl “naps” (plays in her room as quietly as she can so Mommy don’t barge in giving her crap for not actually sleeping).

Have to get some laundry done, and also get the Hubby’s little dinner going. Tonight we are having, okay he is having Rib Eye Steaks. I will stick to my white meat and have some chicken. I’ll pass on the cute little cow. Chickens are ugly, cows are cute. I will not condone to killing the cute, and red meat never sits nicely in my tummy so I avoid eating it as much as I possible can.

Today is the day we celebrate our Fathers. The kids are still a little young to understand this concept, but it has been fun making things for Daddy. Finger painting was the epic moment of our weekend. Who knew kids would flip so much because they are dirty and have paint on them. Sucks to be their teachers at school!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic Father’s Day. I hope the Hubby is, or I am feeling exhausted just for the hell of it. Love you hunny! Don’t worry, I’ll put the kids to bed tonight and not nag too much afterwards… but no promises! <3
