Okay, okay. I know. We are delayed. It has been a very busy weekend for many of us, which has left me to writing this post right at the last minute. This Mother’s Day has been a very exciting, overly exhausting Mother’s Day. Between driving 5 hours to get this trip going, to dealing with an overly cranky little girl, this Mother’s Day has been very tiring.

This Mother’s Day the Hubby decided to spoil me a wee, okay a lot. We packed up Friday afternoon and drove 5 hours to Myrtle Beach. He booked us into the luxurious Oceania Resort, which is of course located right on the ocean. Our hotel is what most people would call a condo. Not only does it have a full sized kitchen, diningroom and livingroom, it has 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with two queen beds. The master bedroom has a beautiful master bath and then there is another bathroom just outside of the other bedroom.

The best part of the entire hotel is that our hotel room came equipped with a washer and dryer! For all you Mom’s out there, you know this is a god send. For my Mother’s Day, day, the Hubby booked me into the hotel spa for a relaxing massage. Of course I am sun burnt head to toe, so it wasn’t too relaxing and was more so very painful.

This evening we packed up BabyGirl and went to Medieval Times! Okay, it was so not what I expected. It was a riot. BabyGirl loved that she could eat her food with her hands, and who am I kidding, so did I! The Hubby got me a strawberry daiquiri (my ultimate fav!) and of course the actual glass and drink are the size of my head. Was very delicious!

The hardest part of this Mother’s Day is being away from my own Mom. Her and I have never, ever spent a Mother’s Day apart. It of course made my day a bit of a rough one. The morning time, all I wanted to do was hop in the car and go home. By mid afternoon I just wanted to curl up and be left alone, and by now, I just miss my freaking Mom excessively. Note to self, do not leave for Mother’s Day ever again. The even harder part is, I am also away from my little BuggaBoo on Mother’s Day. I didn’t get to take advantage of endless cuddles and kisses because it is my day. I didn’t get to milk anything and everything I could because it is my day. BabyGirl doesn’t get the jift of things yet, so she just continues on with her usual day destroying routines.

Next year, I am not going to be leaving on Mother’s Day. I refuse! At least I got a lot of comments on my TOMS for Moms shoes today! They were a definite hit today and many were asking me about them. Love when that happens. Hopefully the same happens for the Hubby if TOMS releases their TOMS for Dads in a similar design. I know I’ll be buying those TOMS Shoes for him if they do do it.

What did everyone end up doing for Mother’s Day this year? Tell us what you did! We’d love to hear it.
