Sundays are always a great time to just hop in your vehicle and take a drive, and that is what we did yesterday (July 12, 2015)! So fun spending time with my family and exploring a place that we have never seen before.
Our destination was set for Kissimmee Lakefront Park on Lake Tohopekaliga – short for Lake Toho. This lake is about 18,800 acres in size and is known as one of the best lakes in Florida for its bass fishing. The park is situated on the northern shore of Lake Toho, and we thought it was one of the nicest parks we have ever seen!
There are a good number of picnic pavilions with grills for barbecuing and there is a lot of space in between them for privacy. Most were being utilized, as there were a lot of birthday parties and family get-togethers going on yesterday. We noticed nice grassy areas for the kids to play on, walking paths, fishing areas, boat dock, marina, cafe and a really fun looking water play area for the children to splash around in. Fun!
We walked around and took in all of the beauty of the lake and said we would love to return.
Have you ever been to this park before? It is a nice place to hang out in the Orlando area.
