I think I quickly mentioned in an earlier post that my hubby gave me a Kobo eReader for Christmas and I probably promised that I would up-date you on what I have been reading. Well I forgot, so lets get caught up. But first I must mention, they are the best gadget if you are a book fan. The convenience of my Kobo is just so wonderful, she travels everywhere with me (yes she is a she). I have since purchased a nice carrying case and a handy dandy night light. We will talk about those after. Lets get to the books.
- Oryx And Crake by Margaret Atwood
- The Sea Wolf – sorry can’t remember who wrote that one.
- Freedom Incorporated – again sorry don’t remember – was really good if you like a sci-fi book
- The Year of the Flood – is what I am currently reading and it is the second book from Oryx And Crake
Yeah you can go and shop for older books and find out if there is follow-up books to a particular series or author.
I have read a few other books the old fashioned way in between the above but today we are talking about my beautiful Kobo.
I have purchased too many presently to list (don’t tell my husband) the price of an eReader book is usually less than half the list price, I have purchased books for 99 cents and they come right to either my Kobo or to my computer. I even signed up with Kobo and receive coupons daily for savings. Today’s was 25% off all books and accessories.
Was talking to my sister in Florida last night and she was asking which eReader I received for Christmas. Gave her my big review and I think today she is out checking them out and comparing. There is lots of options regarding eReaders, lots of manufacturers are now producing. I did a lot of research for my Kobo before I gave the many subtle hints to my hubby of what I really wanted for Christmas and again I will say how very please I am.
Yes I have still been purchasing hard cover books, I can’t help myself when it comes to buying books and they just look so nice in the library or stacked on the floor in my office or bathroom, living-room, dining-room. Yeah I have a lot of books. I have even purchased hard cover books that I also have on my Kobo. Reading on the Kobo is very comfortable, I can change the font when my eyes get tired and have bigger text, and can lie in bed with my adorable little light attached and not keep the hubby awake.
Well lets get to the really great part about this post today!!! Drum roll please!
