When it comes to building anything, my kids definitely thrive. Now when it comes to building some big, they really thrive! They love building anything as tall as themselves and this LEGO DUPLO challenge became something they loved instantly. The fact they could sit, and build up as high as themselves was a riot. We went a little creative on this one and had different areas of our oh so big tower. They really wanted to be creative, so we got creative!
LEGO DUPLO 30 Days of Play Challenge – Day Ten
Build your bricks one-on-one for some measuring fun. Choose an object to measure; for example a DUPLO structure, or a body part, such as your hand. Build a DUPLO tower to measure the object. Count how many bricks. Using unconventional ways of measuring things helps kids deepen their math skills and understanding.
This activity has been designed to inspire counting & numbers, as well as utilizing your child’s fine motor skills. This challenge can be made into a lot of fun and a great way to get your kids counting the number of blocks to see how high something is. Get creative with this day challenge and have your kids build things the same height as many random things around your house.
Ready to see our creation? This one is definitely a doozey!
