Father’s Day is this weekend, and I of course am going to sit here, write a little (probably long) post that may or may not make my Mom well up with tears and make my Dad feel like a million bucks!

Dear Don,

Throughout the years I’ve disappointed you a bagillion times. Made decisions you would have loved to sucker punch me in the face for making. Been a complete idiot, yet there you stood every time never giving up hope on your favorite daughter in the whole wide world.

Throughout the years you have proven to me time and time again that you would be there for me through thick and thin. You have helped me through the roughest times of my life and held me up when I hit rock bottom. You never gave up hope that things would get better.

Even though we may not talk verbally a lot, I know you love me. There is one thing in this world I have never doubted, and that the love you have for me and your Grandbabies.

You are my biggest hero and the reason I keep striving to be everything I can be for my children, our lives and all that important crap! You have raised me as your own, gave me the love and care that you never had to do if you didn’t want too. You loved me like a daughter, because even though our DNA doesn’t match, I am your daughter and you are my Dad. No one can ever deny you are not and if they try, I will beat them up!

You have proven over and over again that it doesn’t take a DNA match to be an amazing, superly awesome Dad, all it takes is love!

I want you to have the best Father’s Day ever! You are a Father that deserves the world and I will do my best to keep your world a happy place and not be a screw up! Oh and maybe not be at your house all the time so you can actually have some peace and quiet every once in awhile, but no promises!

Love you long time Superman! Have a fantastic Father’s Day. We are here waiting for you to get back so we can give you hundreds of headaches and make you want to hide in the garage puttering away on stuff that doesn’t need repaired.

Yours truly,
Batman

My Superman!
